THE Great Ocean Road Coast and Parks Authority (GORCAPA) has temporarily closed the Four Kings toilet block at 78 Great Ocean Road in Anglesea due to extensive damage caused by vandals.

GORCAPA says the closure of the toilet block is necessary while repairs are carried out.

The vandalism occurred on June 29, with vandals ripping fixtures from the walls, setting a bin on fire, and spray-painting the facility.

Police are actively investigating the incident.

Vandals ripped fixtures from the walls, set a bin on fire, and spray-painted the Anglesea facility.

“It’s disappointing that vandals have caused such senseless damage to a community facility,” GORCAPA acting director of infrastructure and planning Katie Hart said.

“We take this vandalism very seriously and are working with police to help identify those responsible. Anti-social behaviour like this is not okay.

“We will complete repairs as quickly as possible to minimise any disruption to the community.”

Anyone with information is urged to contact Crime Stoppers at 1800 333 000.
