THE Warralily Christmas Spectacular is gearing up to entertain locals this Saturday December 8, with this year’s program featuring a longlist of performers, including Kylie tribute act 100% Kylie and children’s entertainers The Kazoos, and a charity partner.

In its fifth year of operation, the event has quickly become one of the biggest celebrations on the Warralily calendar.

Warralily Estate Manager and MC Ben Stewart will begin the Christmas Spectacular at 3pm with a smoking ceremony delivered by the Deadly Dancers before school dance groups take the stage.

Local artists and producers will operate the Warralily market, which showcases 50 stalls of clothing, craft, art and jewellery, while food trucks including Boss Burger, Rockin Donuts & Coffee and Tropical Sno will be on offer for hungry guests.

Fun games organised by local community groups will be scheduled to keep the little ones entertained as well as skate sessions and music organised by the City of Greater Geelong Youth team for teens.

Keeping in tune with its community focus, Warralily recently announced an official charity Elfing Tree will make its debut at this year’s event, with Geelong Mayor Bruce Harwood flicking the switch as part of the Christmas carol kick off.

The tree is an Elf Squad Inc. initiative, a registered charity that helps vulnerable families by donating toys, treats and technology.

Visitors are encouraged to donate a gift to the Elfing Tree or put together cards and craft at the Warralily Christmas Spectacular Mini Elf Factory.

All donations to Elf Squad are 100 per cent tax deductible.
