Wave Rider add two new stops to summer venue hop
THE Wave Rider South Coast shuttle buses are gearing up for another busy summer season and have added two extra stops to get the community out and about this festive season.
This week, the Surf Coast-based operator added the Great Ocean Road Distillery and Flowstate Distillery Bar to their drop off and pick-up list, giving locals 15 different spots across the Surf Coast to explore.
Wave Rider owner Shaun Phillips said they were thrilled to be partnering with more venues this summer, giving users the opportunity to travel to and from the diverse range of bars in the region.
“A big mention to all the venues who have jumped on board with us over the last eight or so years, it means more people can travel around and use our service,” he said.
“These venues are the ones who keep the wheels turning for us, so we thank them wholeheartedly.”
Wave Rider takes pride in its service and reliability, making sure everyone can enjoy a fine night out and then have the option of returning home or to the next bar in a safe, accessible and practical manner.
“The more people and venues that jump on board, the more that it’s worth us being out and about,” Phillips said.
“With Wave Rider you’re not going to get a cancellation, we hear all too much about people being cancelled three or four times by their Uber.
“With us, we are reliable and it’s easy to call and communicate any changes.”
The Wave Rider bar venue route will operate Friday and Saturday night from 6pm to 11pm during summer, but buses can also be privately booked after that time for functions and events.
Each stop on the venue route will cost $10 per person, per trip (home drop offs will be an additional charge).
The Wave Rider service is also available during the week through private booking.
