Whites Road closed until March

The new estate on Feehans Road has caused the closure of Whites Road in Armstrong Creek.

Whites Road is presently closed at the intersection of Surf Coast Highway while works take place.

Draper’s Civil Contracting is carrying out the works on behalf of the developer of the new estate.

The works involve building a new stormwater drain that crosses Whites Road.

Pedestrian access is presently blocked off from Whites Road to the nearest bus stops, with no safe or accessible temporary location available.

It was decided that it would be unsafe to allow pedestrian access to the bus stop via Whites Road, given the major excavation works required.

Works are scheduled to finish on March 28.

The works have also reduced the Surf Coast Highway to one lane of traffic.

The closest bus stop for residents in the area is at the intersection of the Surf Coast Highway and Armstrong Boulevard.

Draper’s Civil Contracting has provided information to all nearby residents.
