Winners crowned at annual calendar competition

A DOZEN local artists will have their creative works featured in 2025 Surf Coast Community Arts Calendar.

Judging of the calendar competition concluded last week with more than 75 people submitting ceramics, fibre works, linocuts and paintings.

The twelve winners will have their works showcased on the monthly pages of the calendar, while a People’s Choice award competition will determine a front cover winner.

Those to receive $300 each and acknowledgement in the calendar included:

Surf Coast Shire chief executive officer Robyn Seymour congratulated all entrants on their impressive works.

 

“Thanks to everyone who entered, and congratulations to our winners.

“Judges were faced with some tough choices given the quality and diversity of the works. People can see for themselves by visiting the exhibition at Anglesea Art Space.

“We hope all entrants enjoy being part of the exhibition. It is a great opportunity to gain some exposure and recognition, and we look forward to seeing who takes out the People’s Choice award.”

An exhibition of the winning works will be on show at Anglesea Art Space from Thursday to Sunday until October 26.

Opening hours are 10am-4pm.
