Workshop to empower women to thrive
A PAIR of local health practitioners are hoping to empower women to thrive in their lives at their first co-hosted wellbeing workshop.
‘Relaxed and Resilient’ will be held at Native Yoga Studio in Torquay on November 9 and will encourage women to reconnect with their sense of wellbeing through self-care rituals and the power of adaptogens.
Attendees will learn to identify and embrace their needs and reclaim their sense of balance through meditation, ritual beverages and adaptogens, breathwork and wellbeing workshops.
The three-hour session will be led by local women’s coach and yoga teacher Claire Nettley and herbal medicine lover, health coach and Tonika owner Michele Scarce.
Ms Scarce said attendees would leave more grounded, empowered and aligned with their health.
“I won a session with Claire at a soiree event for St Therese Primary, and we just discovered we had a lot in common, including a shared passion for women’s health,” she said.
“I come from a health coaching pathway and am obsessed with adaptogens and ancient herbal medicine. It led me to starting my own business Tonika years ago.
“Adaptogens help to release cortisol to help you with stress, and we all know it’s beautiful to be relaxed.
“We hope the session helps women to juggle their stresses and identify how to overcome those feelings.”
Ms Nettley said she was inspired to help more women making positive change.
“Women tend to put others first, which causes huge burnout and stress,” she said. “Through my practice, I’m all about helping women to build that know muscle so they can thrive in their lives.
“It’s going to be a great morning of fun and resilient relaxation.”
The session will run from 1pm to 4pm. Early bird tickets are $39 and are available at trybooking.com
