Community spirit is everywhere you look at Warralily

February 21, 2019 BY

Warralily’s ovals and pavilions are almost complete.

Community is a word that is thrown around by a lot of new housing estates but very few achieve it.

At Warralily it’s the pulse of the place and it’s everywhere you look.

When the first residents moved in 2012, so did Warralily’s dedicated community development office who helped bring new residents together through community events and programs, many of which are still thriving today.

This community spirit, which Warralily calls the Warralily Way of Life, is what drives the community’s annual Clean Up Australia Day, a proactive effort by residents to keep this area beautiful.

It’s the bush kinder program that has turned conservation gardens into active and respected open spaces.

It’s in the people who give their time and talents to the (Warralily-sponsored) Armstrong Creek Sharks AFL Club and the Armstrong United Football (soccer) Club, Auskick and Dodgeball.

It’s what attracts the region’s best artisans and performers to the quarterly community market.

It’s what brings 6,000 people to the community-organised ‘Christmas Spectacular’ carol event.

And throughout the year, it keeps the Warralily Community House buzzing with over 28 sessions of community activities held each week, playgroup, yoga, dance, birthday parties and more.

Warralily residents enjoy a welcoming community hub known as The Village Warralily with new modern facilities conveniently positioned, including education, retail and sporting precincts all linked to homes by landscaped walking and cycling paths.

Since opening, the community has proudly supported local businesses – and with good reason. Just recently, in fact, two Warralily businesses – Slippery Mackerel (fish and chips) and Warralily Cockatoo Café – won online “people’s choice” polling.

Why not stop in for a bite or a coffee and see why?
