Whitford Real Estate’s auction of 6 Riverside Drive Torquay saw the Lachlan Shepherd designed home sold by negotiation immediately after the auction for $3,225,000.
Situated in a quiet street only 250 meters to the beach, backing onto Deep Creek Reserve, this family sized home on 635m2 has achieved a price more commonly seen on the Esplanade, at over $5,000 per square meter. Auctioneer Dale Whitford said that with more than 70 people viewing the property, and its fantastic location, they were always confident of achieving a result the vendor was looking for.

“We sold the property to the final bidder who is from Melbourne and already has a holiday home in Torquay and was looking to upgrade,” Mr Whitford said.
Meanwhile, Great Ocean Road Real Estate’s auction of a two-bedroom apartment at 4/66 Mountjoy Parade Lorne has exceeded everyone’s expectations.
Bidding opened at $840,000 to easily pass the reserve of $880,000 and after 78 bids the property sold under the hammer for $1,435,000 which was a whopping $555,000 above reserve.
