Hamlan’s family fun day with electric car on display
LOCAL builder Hamlan is holding a family fun day on Saturday, June 16 to officially open their new display home in Oakdene Estate.
The event will take place at their Erskine 210 display between noon and 3pm at 147 Devlins Road, Ocean Grove.
Hamlan invites the community to come along and see their new display and learn about how Tesla Powerwall works.
There will also be a very special appearance with an electric car on display.
A barbecue, coffee van and showbag giveaways round off the day of fun.
The Tesla Powerwall, a rechargeable lithium-ion battery, charges using electricity from Bradford solar panels.
With cloud-based monitoring from any smart device, Hamlan homeowners will be able to monitor and manage their energy, including charging from the grid during off-peak times.
Hamlan general manager Andrew Carroll said that he was very excited to have the Tesla Powerwall on display in this home and that his team are looking forward to demonstrating the Tesla App to visitors at the Family Fun Day.
“We’re very proud to be the first builder in Geelong and the Surf Coast region to offer backup with the Tesla Powerwall as part of our standard inclusion,” Mr Carroll said.
“As part of our partnership with CSR Bradford and Tesla, we are all looking forward to having an electric car make a special appearance to our Family Fun Day.”
The Erskine 210 is Hamlan’s first display home that showcases its Bradford Solar ChargePack including Tesla Powerwall 2 with backup, an inclusion that comes standard in every Hamlan home.
New home buyers with Hamlan will be able to run their homes with a mix of free and low-cost energy, stored until they are ready to use it.
