About Barbeques and Fireplaces is the place to go to get fired up, with the Torquay-based business securing the distribution of a number of international heating brands.

The company specialises in gas log fires, wood fires, barbecues and ceramic cookers, as well as outdoor kitchens, gas bottle changeovers, barbecue charcoal, and woodfire and barbecue accessories.

Owners Bruce Dargavel and Mike Craft have lived and worked in the area for 15 years, and About Barbecues and Fireplaces services as far afield as Apollo Bay, Queenscliff, Lara and Colac.

“Last summer, we were appointed as dealer for the Gasmate range of specialist and premium barbecues and outdoor kitchens.

“To expand our cooking range, we have recently been appointed as the exclusive dealers for the industry leading Primo range of ceramic charcoal grills – the only ceramic grill made in the USA. That was a real feather in our cap to have been asked by Primo for About to represent their incredible products across our general area.”

About has also agreed to be the exclusive Greater Geelong, Bellarine and Surf Coast dealer for the Ortal range of boutique gas fires from the United States, making them the fourth dealer appointed by Ortal and the only dealer outside Melbourne.
