JM Homes continues winning streak

Torquay-based custom builder JM Homes were once again celebrated for building excellence at the recent South West Master Builders Regional Building Awards, held at The Pier Geelong.

Receiving awards for Best Custom Homes in both the $400,000-$500,000 and $800,000-$1 million categories, director Jamie Mills said that his company was honoured to be acknowledged amongst their peers for producing a quality product.

“We have now won 10 awards consistently for 4 years with multiple Awards in each year, proving that we provide quality construction and that is recognised by Master Builder Judges year on year,” Mr Mills said.

“It gives me immense pride to win year on year and I am extremely pleased with our achievements to date.

“We are very proud of what we have become in our very short time in Australia, we are nearing our seventh anniversary as a family and our fifth year as JM Homes.

“We have grown from our humble beginnings into what I see as now being and very proud to be a local custom builder.

“We now employ 16 people directly and enjoy the flexibility of having our directly employed carpenters to produce the quality that we expect as a company.

“The team works extremely well together and enjoy the accolade of being recognised for their achievements through the awards, each and every one of our staff has the desire to do it right and we thank them for their efforts.

“We also would like to thank our local suppliers and contractors for working with us to achieve these Awards.

“As a local family business, it is important for Sara and I to have a business to be proud of. We employ both of our sons in the business in two different roles; Mat in the office and assisting in the day to day running of the onsite operations, and Jim on site as an apprentice to understand how it all goes together on site.

“With the young minds coming through the business, it enables us to keep up with the current trends in technology and procedures.

“Our two new Display Homes in Quay 2 will be right up there with all the latest innovations and we cannot wait to show them off when they open later in the year.”
