Metricon Armstrong Creek display home boasts double victory at HIA awards

Metricon's Marion 42 with Nordic façade claimed two of the night's highest honours at the 2025 HIA Western Victoria Regional Housing Awards.
METRICON continues to impress both home buyers and the industry, adding another award to its long list of achievements and peak body recognitions in Australia’s competitive residential market.
This time it was a double whammy for the dedicated Metricon team, with the Marion 42 with Nordic façade claiming two of the night’s highest honours at the 2025 HIA Western Victoria Regional Housing Awards, held at the RACV Torquay Resort.
Metricon regional general manager Simon Taylor said the recognition underscores the company’s continued pursuit of excellence.
“To be recognised with both category and overall awards is a monumental achievement for our Western Victoria team and a testament to the skill of our trades and suppliers,” Mr Taylor said.

“The Marion 42 reflects what modern families want most: style, functionality, and quality craftsmanship, and we’re thrilled to see it acknowledged by HIA and the industry.”
This is another feather in the cap for Australia’s number one home builder, again cementing its leadership in design and innovation.
The striking double-storey showcase at Armstrong Creek’s Banksia Estate was awarded Best Display Home in the $500,000–$750,000 category, along with receiving the gong for the prestigious Best Overall Display Home of the Year.
Designed for the needs of today’s Australian families, the Marion 42 combines expansive open spaces with private retreats.
Its Nordic façade and Hamptons-inspired interiors evoke a coastal calm, while a carefully considered floorplan ensures every square metre works hard for modern living and entertaining.
The ground floor is dedicated to open-plan living, seamlessly connecting the kitchen, dining, and family zones with a generous alfresco area for effortless indoor-outdoor entertaining.
Upstairs, the design shifts to private retreat, featuring four spacious bedrooms, including a luxurious master suite with walk-in robe and light-filled ensuite, plus a leisure room crowned by a dramatic raked ceiling extending to the balcony gable.
Warm terracotta accents, calming timber finishes, and a palette of dusty blues delivers a fresh, inviting atmosphere throughout, while thoughtful design touches such as Laminex Whitewashed Oak cabinetry and Zenith Stone benchtops elevate the home’s sense of comfort and luxury.
The award-winning Marion 44 display home is open daily, Saturday to Wednesday, from 10am to 5pm at 4 Blackwattle Drive, Armstrong Creek.
