New lots released at Armstrong
VILLAWOOD Properties has released a new tranche of lots at its Armstrong Mount Duneed community, with buyers camping out to secure their choice.
The lots, within Armstrong’s green-focused Eco precinct, drew early buyer interest with campers on site overnight before the weekend’s release.
Shiju and Sonia Andrews, who received ticket #1 before the release, were delighted to obtain the block they wanted.
“Initially, we were looking at buying an established house but when we started looking around we realised this was a better option,” Mr Andrews, an automotive designer from Geelong West, said.
Armstrong – Villawood’s flagship community – was awarded Masterplanned Community of the Year by the Urban Development Institute of Australia in December.
Allotments in Armstrong’s Eco precinct are surrounded by natural landscaping, just a short walk to the exclusive Club Armstrong, with ready access to bike and running tracks and Waurn Ponds train station.
The Eco stage release boasts 60 lots, with priority for care industry workers including nurses, emergency workers, police and teachers.
Geelong West’s Sally Aganetti, who bought into Eco with her sister Kate, said she had been looking closer to home but found site and development costs exorbitant.
“We were looking for something with a better reputation.
“This is close to the ring road, making Melbourne travel easy, and also travel to Geelong and Waurn Ponds.”
