New owners sought for restaurant renaissance
A large Lorne main street restaurant has hit the market in a rare chance to buy established commercial property in the Surf Coast town.
Classic Italian eatery Saporitalia is for sale, with the restaurant managers looking for a new property owner to take over the site for its next five years.
The restaurant is located at the gateway to Lorne’s retail and commercial strip at 6A Mountjoy Parade, just south of the Erskine River crossing.
The property has a 205sqm indoor restaurant – complete with kitchen, toilet and indoor and outdoor storage – and a 94sqm outdoor dining area with room for 109 patrons in total, and a liquor license through to 1am.
The sale would come fitted out with contents including computers and other IT, security cameras, cool rooms and freezers and a commercial ice maker, while there is room for customer parking off the town’s the main throughfare.
Saporitalia has been up and running for 10 years with its popularity resulting in increased turnover throughout its operation.
The restaurant retains a lease for five years from April, with the property available now and expected to be settled in April 2023.
The property is being offered by Melbourne-based Aspire Property Group, with price negotiable from $120,000.
