On the couch with Links Property

The Links Property all female team of Louise Venter, Kim Jolley, Suzy Jones, Karen Nelson, Lynne Hayden and Aly Boland offer a unique approach to real estate

This week, Times News Group director Dean Webster sat on the couch with the dynamic all-female team at Links Property.

Proudly feminist in an industry that was once perceived a man’s world, Links Property has taken on the boys to stamp their personal brand to the Torquay real estate market.

The Links Property team says that they continue to lead the way in real estate marketing and sales in the Surf Coast region, and Dean had a chat to Lynne Hayden, Suzy Jones and their team about their success.

The girls explained that they pride themselves on being a modern, connected team, which has been selling real estate across Torquay and Jan Juc for 11 years, with a dedicated service that offers a unique approach to property needs.

They put their sales success down to creative marketing campaigns using a combination of traditional print advertising and social media.

Lynne and Suzy said that with help from the Surf Coast Times print and media, they are now the local e-real estate industry leader.

Dean:
Lynne and Suzy, you’ve been selling real estate for more than a decade in Torquay, what drives your success?

Lynne:
We’re all about linking people with property. In Torquay, people aren’t coming here to buy property, they’re here to buy a life.

It gives me great pleasure being part of the rich emotional journey people embark on when they buy or sell a property.

Nothing beats the thrill of having an overjoyed vendor and a blissful buyer, it’s truly magical.

Suzy:
We are happy locals with a passion for what we do; we live and breathe the Surf Coast and we use our hometown knowledge to inform our vendors/buyers about the current real estate market and how to best sell their property or buy in the area.

Dean:
Links Property is an all-female team. How does this work to your advantage?

Suzy:
Women communicate in a special way about property and, in most cases, are the ultimate decision-makers when it comes to purchasing.

For us, it makes perfect sense to have women represent you and your home in the marketplace.

Our intuitive approach matters even more here in Torquay and Jan Juc where families thrive, and everything is about the lifestyle.

Dean:
You have a close connection with the community and provide various sponsorships. Why is it important for Links Property to give back to the community?

Lynne:
As a business owner with a young family, we feel socially responsible and thoroughly enjoy giving back to our wonderful community.

Last year we donated over $20,000 in sponsorship dollars and we are a major sponsor for the Surf Coast Suns. We supply schools with poster boards for major events.

Our newest campaign fully supports Torquay going plastic bag free, so grab one of our reusable bags at Peaches and our local supermarkets.

Dean:
Your BCNA campaign is in full swing. What makes it a success year after year?

Suzy:
Our BCNA pink campaign is now in its fifth year. Last year we successfully raised $11,000. We have created a wonderful community initiative that we hope will make a little difference. It is our pleasure to help raise local awareness and much-needed funds for this outstanding organisation.

Dean:
Drawing on many years of experience in selling real estate, why do find it important to style your properties?

Suzy:
Our strength is in marketing, and our job is to attract buyers from all over.

Attractive property pictures and styling will drive up buyer interest, and that’s why a personal home stylist is included with each of our listings.

Dean:
You attribute your sales success to creative marketing campaigns using a mix of traditional print advertising and social media. Why is the digital world an important component in real estate?

Lynne:
Part of our success is due to our strength with our online marketing. We are “The Digital Girls in a Digital World”. Gone are the days of the walk-up office, with many of our buyers using the internet to search for property. We embrace powerful online marketing strategies, combined with local print media, to connect with clients, prospective buyers, tenants and investors where it counts.

Dean:
You mentioned that last month most of your properties sold in less than 14 days. What’s your secret?

Lynne:
We’ve been selling real estate for more than 11 years in Torquay and Jan Juc and we’ve come to nurture our powerful online database, we work smart, using experience and know-how to achieve quick results.

With the help of Surf Coast Times print and media, our promotions and communication strategies are key in achieving a successful result and no one will work harder for you than us.

Dean:
You seem to have a one-stop-shop approach to property management. How does this approach save time and money for your clients/home owners?

Louise:
With several hundred properties, we are passionate about your investment and streamline every aspect of your property management.

We love finding the perfect tenant using experience and our extensive approval process.

We focus on providing great service, so our landlords and tenants can enjoy the Surf Coast lifestyle.
