Seabank auction sees seachangers buy

RT Edgar’s auction of 13 Seabank Drive Barwon Heads got off to a great start despite the forecast storm event, with an opening bid of $1,125,000 in front of a crowd of more than 40 people.

Two bidders then went on to exchange 24 bids until it sold under the hammer at $1.27 million to a young family from Melbourne who will make it their residence.

RT Edgar director Michael Ramsay said the sale was a great result with most of the interest for this property coming from local enquiries, although a Melbourne family ended up with the winning bid.

“The Barwon Heads property market remains stable, more specifically for quality built properties like this, located off the main roads and within walking distance from the shopping strip and the Barwon River.

“Due to the continuing supply and demand imbalance, this should continue into the New Year.”
