While 57 Sagittarius Street Torquay was passed in on auction day to a prospective buyer, there was never any doubt of achieving a result, according to auctioneer and lead agent Michael Nemeth of Hayden Real Estate.

“Such a sensational property and a real credit to the vendors for the way they presented their home,” Mr Nemeth said.

“We had an excellent campaign with great numbers through the opens and the feedback from everybody was just so positive for this beautiful property which had several interested parties.”

Vendor and long-term local Bronwen Wright was ecstatic with the result.

“It’s been a wonderful home so it will be a little sad to leave but after 10 years it is time for the next chapter,” Ms Wright said.

“Mick did a great job, he kept us informed on what was going on and where people were at throughout the campaign, and his work after the auction to get us the result he did was just super.”

Mr Nemeth said that interest in the property from day one was very high and the vendors eventually had two signed contracts in front of them.

“Demand for good quality homes is still very strong and we have several buyers looking for small acreage, lifestyle properties in good locations.

“We’ve had some very good results in the past few weeks, and we’re definitely seeing a renewed confidence among buyers.

“This result is further evidence that the top end of the market remains strong.”
