Restart, reset, refocus for 2023
There has been of lot of coverage from the 2022 NAPLAN results.
For Victoria, after enduring the most prolonged school closures in the country:
- Reading is down in Years 9 and 7
- Writing is down in Year 3, and
- Numeracy is down across all years, and for Years 3, 7 and 9, it was worse than it was in 2008.
After working with their children over the past few years, parents are most aware of the gaps.
At Kip McGrath tutoring, we recognise the difficulty families have struggled through. We focus on the areas where students need help to improve their English and maths skills and feel great about learning.
For the sixth consecutive year, Kip McGrath Torquay is running an intensive Summer School program to give students the best possible start to 2023.
Your child can continue their tuition to ensure they consolidate and develop the knowledge they’ve learnt in the previous school year.
Week 1 starts daily on January 16 from 9.30-10.30am, and Week 2 starts daily on January 23 from 9.30-10.30am.
The cost is $320 for the five lessons each week.
An initial assessment is essential before starting the program.
When you book a literacy or numeracy assessment, we identify any learning gaps, we can put a plan in place to support each student.
They can start the year knowing there is a solution in place and feel confident about starting the school year.
With weekly tutoring sessions, Kip McGrath students experience improved confidence, results, and a positive change in their attitude towards learning.
The free learning assessment, either in a centre or completed online, is a tool parents can use to determine their child’s competencies in English or maths.
