GEELONG Amateurs will look to extend their seven-game BFL winning streak as it takes on Drysdale in Round 14.

The first-placed Amateurs will travel to Drysdale Recreation Reserve tomorrow (Saturday, July 19) to play the third-placed Hawks, who have won seven of their past eight.

The Hawks will be well aware of Amateurs forward Mitch Day, who has kicked 20 goals from his past three games and could easily influence the outcome of an important, finals-shaping match.

Round 14 will also see the Battle of the Bridge, with Barwon Heads facing Ocean Grove at Howard Harmer Oval.

A win at home for the Seagulls against a struggling Grubbers outfit will keep them in check with the top five, as the finals race heats up with just over a month to go.

2024 grand finalists Anglesea will travel to Portarlington to take on the Demons. The sixth-placed Kangaroos must win to keep their hopes of a finals berth alive.

A red-hot Torquay faces Modewarre at Mount Moriac Reserve, with the reigning premiers looking to make it five wins in a row. However, the Tigers must be wary of the Warriors, who need a win to remain in seventh position.

After a disappointing loss against Geelong Amateur, Queenscliff’s road to the finals begins with a matchup against second-last Newcomb at Queenscliff Recreation Reserve.

All Round 14 matches will start at 2.10pm.
