UNDEFEATED Geelong Amateur will be chasing their third victory in a row when they take on Modewarre at1.45pm at Mount Moriac Reserve today (Friday, April 18).

Ammos defeated Anglesea 63-33 in round two at home after beating Torquay 55-31 in their BFNL A Grade netball season-opener.

Centre Georgia Duncan was best on court against the Seas as Kayla Donnellon top-scored with 26 goals.

Coach Kaitlyn Sheringham said the group would keep striving to improve their connection in their new-look attack end.

The Ammos will also be eager to tidy up their transition from defence to attack in their big Easter clash.

“It’s good for the whole community, getting out there and playing some netball and footy on Good Friday, you get usually get a pretty good crowd and it will be a good hit-out,”Sheringham said.

The Ammos, who made the 2024 grand final, have promoted shooters Lauren Lapsley and Donnellon as well as midcourter Lulu Shaw to top grade this season.

They also picked up prolific goalie Kim Hammond from GFNL side Bell Park.

Hammond is on the sidelines with a knee injury she sustained in Round 1, with Sheringham hopeful she will return soon.

She had shot 27 goals, switching between goal attack and shooter, against Torquay.

The Tigers will host Barwon Heads at 1.45pm in the other Good Friday clash.
