ON WEDNESDAY, May 16 the Men played Par. The Men’s A Grade winner was Chris Sawyer with +3 on a countback from runner up Garry Beurteaux also with +3. The B Grade winner was Nigel Forsyth with +2, on a countback from runner up Sheamus Sushames who also returned +2. The C Grade winner was Jack Flynn with +2 from runner up Don Gough with square, on a countback. Ball rundown to square on a countback. NTPs: 3rd Allan Smith, 6th Paul Brennan, 13th Trevor Rowe and Jackpot 16th Vince Attardi.

On Thursday, May 17 the Women played 4BBB Stableford for the Nance Zimmer Silver Salver. Pam Ledgerd and Lesley McMaster combined beautifully to score 44 points, to win the Salver. Heather Jillard and Ann Stokes finished runner up with 43 points. Ball rundown to 40 points. NTP’s: 3rd Sue Caldwell, 6th Ro Lockyer, Jackpot 13th Robyn Schepers and 16th Liz Burgess. Mary Kay won the Gold Tee competition with 13 points. The qualifying for the 4BBB Knockout was played in conjunction with the following eight pairs qualifying: Heather Jillard and Ann Stokes, Steffi Bates and Linda Aimers, Liz Burgess and Biddy Tuohey, Janice Calvert and Jill Emerson, Marilyn Cross and Robyn Trevaskis, Suellen Eskrigge and Sue Caldwell, Sue Britnell and Ro Rockyer and Sue Bowler and Nancye Warhurst. On Saturday, May 19 the club hosted the Anglesea Football and Netball Clubs Fundraising Day.

On Sunday, May 20 a Men’s and Women’s Par event was played. The Men’s winner was Calvin Robbins with a great score of +8. David McLaren finished runner up with +7! Ball rundown to +5. The Women’s winner was Robin Adamson with -1. Ball rundown to -1. NTPs: 3rd Kent Taylor, 6th Bernie Dilger, 13th Peter Jillard and Jackpot 16th Philip Warne.

Bookings are now open for the Frankie Valli, Beach Boys and the Four Seasons show to be held at the club on Saturday, July 21. A guaranteed great night out. Dinner and show $59.
