ON WEDNESDAY January 24, the Men and Women played Par. The Men’s A Grade Winner was Andrew Skewes with +5, while Tony Speed finished runner-up with +4. The B Grade winner was Paul Taylor with +6 from runner-up Denis Cunningham with +3. Paul Johnstone won C Grade with +4 on a countback from Ross Harrison who finished runner up with +4. Ball rundown to +1 on countback. Women’s Winner Ruth Trevaskis with +1 from runner-up Janet Coombes Square. Ball rundown to -1 on countback. NTPs: 3rd Peter Frauenfelder, 6th Peter Hester, 13th Paul Brennan and Jackpot 16th Jeff Harding.

On Thursday January 25, the Men and Women played Stableford. The Men’s Winner was Bernie Dilger with 40 points, while Frances Funder finished runner-up with 39 points. Ball rundown to 39 points. Women’s A Grade Winner Vida Brenner with 39 points. Women’s B Grade Winner Sue Caldwell with 35 points. Women’s C Grade Winner Jill Dilger with 37 points on a countback. Ball rundown to 35 points on a countback. NTPs: 3rd John Etherington, 6th Sue Caldwell, 13th Sue Bowler and Jackpot 16th Vida Brenner (6cm!).

On Saturday January 27, the Men and Women played Stableford with some terrific scoring. The Men’s A Grade Winner was Kent Taylor with 43 points, while Keith Turner finished runner-up with 42 points. The B Grade winner was David Hitchcock with 46 points from runner-up John Keeble with 45 points. Michael Cariss won C Grade with 45 points from Des Clancy, who finished runner-up with 44 points. Ball rundown to 38 points on countback. Women’s winner Sue Bowler with 39 points. Ball rundown to 34 points. NTPs: 3rd Shane Thompson, 6th Shane Thompson, 13th Tony Tobler and Jackpot 16th Paul Barlow.
