Anglesea Golf Club – May 17, 2018

ON WEDNESDAY May 9, the Men played a 4BBB Par competition. The winners were Daryl Britnell and Ian Burgess with Ned Kelly like score of +16.

The runners-up were Allan Spence and Jack Power with a very respectable +11, while John McGibbony and Barry Armstrong finished Third with +10 . Ball rundown to +8 on a countback NTPs: 3rd Gary Shugg, 6th Dave Calvert, 13th Bruce Harrell and Jackpot 16th Allan Foster.

On Thursday 10 May 2018 the Women played Stableford in Age Divisions. The Under 65 years Winner was Anne Larkin with 34 points, while Ann Stokes finished runner-up with 32 points.

The 65-69 years Winner was Sue Caldwell with 34 points, from runner-up Lorraine Elliott with 33 points. The 70 years+ Winner was Dot Hermann with 31 points while Nancye Warhurst finished runner-up with 28 points. Ball rundown to 32 points. NTPs: 3rd Sue Britnell, Jackpot 13th Ann Stokes and 16th Anne Larkin.

On Saturday 12 May 2018 the Men and Women played Stableford. The Men’s A Grade Winner was Garry Beurteaux with 40 points from runner-up Chris Fletcher who scored 39 points. The B Grade winner was Bruce Harrell with 38 points. Jamie Reale finished runner-up with 37 points. Malcolm Mullins won C Grade with 36 points, while David Griffiths finished runner-up with 35 points on a countback. Ball rundown to 35 points on countback. The Women’s Winner was Barbara Howlett with 26 points. Ball rundown to 26 points. NTPs: 3rd Mark Heath, 6th Keith Turner, 13th John Mooney and Jackpot 16th Shane Thompson. Congratulations to John Mooney on his hole on one on the 13th!

On Sunday 13th May 2018 a Men’s and Women’s Par event was played. The Men’s Winner was David Adamson with +4. Stuart Lee finished runner-up with +2. Ball rundown to +2. The Women’s winner was Jane Millar with square. Ball rundown to square. NTPs: 3rd Wally Karnilowicz, 6th Jane Millar, 13th Louise Davidson and Jackpot 16th Peter Wanless.

On Saturday May 19 we host the Anglesea Football and Netball Clubs Charity Golf Day, a shotgun start at 10:30am. Bookings are now open for the Frankie Valli and the 4 Seasons show to be held at the Club on Saturday 21 July 2018. Dinner and Show $59.00
