ANGLESEA GOLF CLUB – November 08, 2018

ON Wednesday 31 October the Men played Par. The Men’s A Grade Winner was Keith Turner with +3 on a countback from Runner Up Shane Thompson who also finished +3, claiming Runner Up on a countback.

The B Grade winner was Rod Day with a whopping +7 from Runner Up Mike Grossman who scored +5.

Peter Hester won C Grade with a great score of +7 from Runner Up Allan Spence who scored +5. Ball rundown to +2 on a countback. Keith Turner provided another highlight with a Hole in 1 on the 16th. On Thursday 1 November the Women played an Elimination Ambrose as Entertain the Committee Day.

The Winners were Judy Talbot, Jill Emerson, Janice Calvert and Di Williams with 62.5 nett. The Runners Up were Barb Hinton, Sue Gell, Ros Holland and Liz McConchie with 64.75 nett. Ball rundown to 67.375 nett. NTP’s: 3rd Ros Holland, 6th Suellen Eskrigge, 13th Margot Smith and 16th Liz McConchie.

On Saturday 3 November the Men and Women played stroke, with the Men playing the 1st Round of the Club Championships, the 1st Round of the Seniors Championships and the Monthly Medal. The Men’s A Grade Winner was Tom Steven with 69 nett from Kent Taylor who finished Runner Up with 70 nett. The B Grade and Monthly Medal winner was John Smart with 68 nett from B Grade Runner up Mark Heath who also scored 71 nett. Jack Flynn won C Grade with 72 nett
on a countback from Runner Up Raymund McCann who also scored 72 nett. Ball rundown to 74 nett on a countback. Nigel Powers leads the Gross event after a round of 78 while Brett Balloch (79), Andrew Daffy(80) and Mark Couzens (80) are all nipping at his heels. The Women’s Winner was Jennifer Round with 72 nett. Ball rundown to 72 nett. NTP’s: 3rd Peter Parfitt, 6th Stephen Alsop, 13th George Jasinski and Jackpot 16th Jamie Sims.

On Sunday 4 November a Men’s and Women’s Stableford event was played with some hot scoring. The Men’s A Grade winner was Neil Burrage with 46 points. David McLaren won B Grade with 44 points, while Malcolm Titshall won C Grade with 43 points. Ball rundown to 37 points on a countback.

The Women’s Winner was Robyn Schepers with 35 points while Lisa Renton finished Runner Up with 34 points on a countback. Ball rundown to 33 points on a countback.
