Anglesea Golf Club – October 4, 2018

ON Wednesday 26 September the Men played Stableford. The Men’s A Grade Winner was Andrew Glide with 41 points while Brent McDonald finished Runner Up with 40 points. The B Grade winner was Don Gough with 39 points from Runner Up Bryan James who scored 38 points. Bruce Harrell won C Grade with the day’s best score of 43 points from Runner Up Mike Grossman who scored 37 points. Ball rundown to 34 points on a countback. NTPs: 3rd Garry Beurteaux, 6th Greg David, 13th Bryan James and Jackpot 16th Rob Steven.

On Thursday 27 September the Women played Par.
The A Grade winner was Valda Connelly with -3 on a countback from Runner Up Caroline Dickens who also scored -3. Robyn Schepers won B Grade with +1, on a countback from Lorraine Elliott after she also returned +1. Pam Hill won C Grade with +3 and continued the trend of countbacks, defeating Biddy Tuohey (+3) on a countback. Ball rundown to -1 on a countback. NTPs: 3rd Caroline Dickens, 6th Caroline Dickens, 13th Julie Power and 16th Caroline Dickens.

On Saturday 29 September the Men and Women played Par. The Men’s A Grade Winner was John Ciezki with square on a countback from Tony Speed who also finished square. The B Grade winner was Jamie Reale with +2. Peter Malone finished B Grade Runner up with square, on a countback. Malcolm Mullins won C Grade with +3 on a countback from Charlie Reif who also scored +3. Ball rundown to -1 on a countback. The Women’s Winner was Leonie Kenny with -1. Ball rundown to -1. Amazingly there were TWO hole in ones Saturday morning. Calvin Robbins holed out on the 13th and John McLachlan had a hole in one on the 16th. Congratulations Calvin and John! NTPs: 3rd Warren Pollock, 6th Brent McDonald, 13th Calvin Robbins (hole in one) and Jackpot 16th John McLachlan (hole in one).

On Sunday 30 September a Men’s and Women’s Stableford event was played. The Men’s winner was Tim Lee with 41 points. Bernie Stokes finished Runner Up with 37 points on a countback. Ball rundown to 37 points on a countback. The Women’s Winner was Liz Lee with 31 points on a countback. Ball rundown to 31 points on a countback.
