ON WEDNESDAY August 29, the Men played 4BBB Stableford. The Men’s winners were Neil Daw and Jim Whan with 47 points on a countback from runners-up Barry Mason and Colin Patterson. Derek Hardy and David Calvert finished 3rd with their score of 45 points. Ball rundown to 44 points on a countback. There were 9 birdie balls awarded.

On Thursday August 30, the Women played Stroke Monthly Medal. The A Grade winner was Joanna Murray with nett 74, while Vida Brenner finished runner-up with nett 77. The B Grade and Monthly Medal winner was Helen Stewart with nett 72, congratulations Helen. Jan Buchholz finished runner-up with nett 78. The C Grade winner was Jules Rolfe with nett 76 on a countback from Beatrice Stephens who also returned a nett 76. Ball rundown to nett 77 on a countback. NTPs: 3rd Barb Cook, 6th Janet Coombes, Jackpot 13th Ann Stokes and 16th Lesley McMaster. Judy Talbot won the putting competition with 29 putts, while Jo Murray returned the best gross score of the day with gross 89. The draw for the Singles Knockout – A Grade: Vida Brenner v Judy Talbot, Janet Coombes v Noelene Dumbrell. B Grade: Jan Buchholz v Barb Cook, Nancye Warhurst v Sue Gell. C Grade: Jules Rolfe v Sandy Favre, Myrell McConachy v Irena Karpala.

On Saturday September 1, the Men and Women played 4BBB Par in conjunction with the Qualifying Round for the Nicholas O’Donohue Trophy. The Men’s winners were Stuart Leigh and Paul Manson with +8. Kevin Friel and John Mooney finished runners-up with +7 on a countback from third placegetters Frank Funder and Bernie Dilger who also had +7. Ball rundown to +5 on a countback.

On Sunday September 2, the Men and Women played Par. The Men’s winner was Wally Karnilowicz with +5. Ball rundown to +3 on a countback. The Women’s winner was Jules Rolfe with -2. Ball rundown to -2.

We have the Totally 80s Band back at the Club on Saturday October 6 – Dinner and Show $59. Last year the night was booked out and by all reports the night was an absolute blast. Tickets now selling, don’t miss out!
