Body art passes down through generations

March 27, 2018 BY

Lisa Kearns established Purely Piercing in 1996 and later Kustome Kulture in 2000.

The Purely Piercing team of Lisa and Jack are focused on their craft, which is body piercing, while the Kustome Kulture team of Andy, Cayleb, Marty and Brad are dedicated tattoo artists.

As much as the two art forms go hand in hand, they have very independent lives and personalities of their own.

Purely Piercing has played a part in the rite of passage for many people and is now creeping into the next generation with past clients returning with their own children.

This is very special to the business, an absolute honour to be trusted to guide and hold the hand of so many people transitioning through special periods of their life.

It is clear the art of body piercing is not just for young people exploring individuality.

It is a wonderful art form pursued by all walks of life and ages as a reward, a crutch or a visual statement.

It can be empowering and liberating for the person, leaving them with a sense of achievement, and confidence.

Purely Piercing and Kustome Kulture’s aim is for everyone to leave feeling pretty; every female feeling pretty fabulous, every male feeling pretty cool and importantly everyone feeling pretty damn proud.

Visit them at 101 Little Malop Street or follow @purelypiercing on Instagram and Facebook.
