GEELONG will be one of the most represented AFL clubs as state of origin footy returns tomorrow (Saturday, February 14), with five players available across both the Victorian and West Australian squads for the clash at Optus Stadium.

For the Big V, Patrick Dangerfield, Max Holmes, Bailey Smith and Tom Stewart will all be available for selection, with Chris Scott also to coach the side as AFL Origin is staged for the first time since 1999.

Versatile defender Lawson Humphries is part of the West Australian squad and could line up against his Geelong teammates.

Superstar Jeremy Cameron was one of the first players selected for Victoria as the squads were announced last year, but withdrew from playing earlier this month as he continues his recovery from a broken arm suffered in Geelong’s Grand Final loss against Brisbane.

Some of the league’s top talent will feature in the much-anticipated clash, with the likes of Western Bulldogs’ Marcus Bontempelli, Melbourne’s Max Gawn, Carlton’s Patrick Cripps and GWS’ Sam Taylor all included in the two squads.

Dangerfield will likely spend time up forward should he be selected, with speedy Cats teammates Holmes and Smith expected to play through the middle.

Both Stewart and Humphries will probably across their respective sides’ backlines if picked.

The match will start at 7.40pm AEDT and will be available to watch on Channel 7 and Foxtel.
