QUEENSCLIFF will host a red-hot Torquay outfit this weekend, in what will be their biggest challenge yet heading into the BFL finals.

The Coutas sit third by percentage after an impressive season to date, and an upset against the Tigers could lock them in for a finals campaign. However, with Drysdale and Anglesea breathing down their neck, a loss could see Queenscliff drop as low as fifth.

Meanwhile, Torquay are coming off a 49-point win against first-place Geelong Amateur and are surely flag favourites heading into the final two weeks of the season. A win this weekend would make it eight on the trot, with their last loss coincidentally coming against the Coutas in Round 8.

Barwon Heads can keep their slim finals hopes alive with a win against Modewarre, sitting just one game behind fifth place. The Warriors were knocked out of the race after a loss to Anglesea last weekend.

The Roos host Newcomb and must win to remain in fifth place, but could give up the spot to the Seagulls if the Power can cause an upset at Ellimatta Reserve.

Geelong Amateur will travel to Ocean Grove to take on the last-placed Grubbers, looking to get back on track after being well beaten by the Tigers.

While out of the finals hunt, Portarlington can play spoiler as they host the fourth-placed Drysdale.
