JAN JUC tradesman Callan Cross has won his fourth title in the Master’s division of the TAC Tradies Challenge.
Cross was far too good for his fellow competitors in the event, swinging backhand turns all-day long in perfect waves at URBNSURF in Melbourne.
He finished the event with a 14.50 total ahead of Ross Dart (Torquay) who finished on 12.27, Luke Beerling (Dromana) on 11.83 and Sean McDevitt (Rosebud) on 11.70 points.
In his first time in the event, Mornington Peninsula surfer Lucas Hickson reigned supreme in the Open Men’s division.

Hickson blew the competition out of the park with his impressive display of massive turns and innovative airs.
He finished on a heat total of 17.50 points, narrowly ahead of 2024 champion from Jan Juc Ethan Huxtable.
“It was a good final and there were heaps of good surfing going down,” Hickson said.
“I’m happy to get the win over some mates at URBNSURF!”
Finishing third and fourth respectively was Blairgowrie pair Joel Wookey and Jake Pancic.
The Bodyboard final was an incredible display of skill with eventual winner Ryan Jucker (Hampton East) going back-to-back with a whopping 18.87 heat total out of a possible 20 points.

Rui Mateus (Ivanhoe) finished in second place, former event champion Jacques La Roux (Gladstone Park) was third and Kyle Anderson (Frankson) came in in fourth.
