CONGRATULATIONS to Gill Morrison and Debbie McKee for not only making it to the final of the prestigious Betty Kernot Scratch Foursomes Event, but for also combining very well in the final on a day that was horrendous weather wise, to say
the least. Gill and Debbie won 4 and 3 against Torquay’s Cheryl Brunt and Di Lilley. Beatrice Uttley-Moore Foursomes final: Congratulations to Julie Flintoff and Margie Black in winning this board event 4 and 3 from Alyson Slimmon and Karen Egan.

Sunday March 24
Mixed Stableford – 31 Players. Rob Jackson (22) impressed with 44 winning by 6 from Les Port (12) 38.

Monday March 25
Men Stableford: 28 Players – Unbelievably strong winds saw many golfers stay at home! John Wells (24) had other ideas and chalked up 35 points. Tom Delahunty (16) was only one behind on 34 countback. NTP: 8th – Paul Ryan, 17th – Andrew Morris.

Tuesday March 26 Women 9 Holes Stroke: 33 Players – Kate Blood 19; Rosie Slimmon 18 countback.

Wednesday March 27
Men Stableford BlueTees: – 150 players enjoyed magnificent playing conditions. A) Ray Wilson (10) 39 countback from Tim Singleton (9). B) Phillip Larcombe (15) 38; Paul Ryan (18) 37. C) Peter Noonan (19) 40; Bernie Crowe (24) 39 countback. Green Tees: Neil Petrie (20) 34. NTP: 4th – Colin Gannon, 8th – Glenn Hopgood, 13th – Peter Featherston, 17th – Frank Thornburgh. Golden Shot Winner on 17th – Martin Frankovic (1.65m and $128).

Thursday March 28
Women par: 58 Players – A) Marie Allen (22) +2; Jo Ludowyk (21) +1. B) Kate Blood (33) Sq; Jeanette Moorfoot (23) -1 countback. NTP: 4th – Anne Collis (Pizza On Madeley), 8th – Gill Morrison, 13th – Jay Magee (Leura Park Estate), 17th and Golden Shot Winner – Bronwyn Hoskin ($54).

Friday March 29
Westpac Charity Golf Day – Chris High (18), Jason Bowers (16), David Thomas (3) and Chris Fletcher (8) had a day to remember with 11 birdies for a net 54.375. Close behind them were Troy Tainton (+3), Sam Nicholas (3), Anthony Eastmure (19) and Tony Leahy (25) who also notched up 11 birdies in their score of 54.5

Saturday March 30
Men par: 123 Players. Persistent showers saw a few groups retire early! Kevin Wheeler (5) won A Grade with +1 from Ian Luehman (9) Sq. B) Jeff Salmon (15) +2; Geoff Goodwin (10) +1 countback. C) Grav Charles (17) had the round of the day with +5 leaving Jason De Boer (22) as runner up on +3 countback. Women: Eight players – Wendy McDonald (25) – 2; Jay Magee (15) – 4. NTP: 4th – Jason De Boer, 8th – Greg Bishop, 13th – Cam Bowers, 17th and Golden Shot Winner – John Meggs, (0.24m and $125).
