ANOTHER great week here at Curlewis that saw a great amount of both members and guests grace the fairways this week!

Sunday September 9: Mixed PAR: 35 Players. Bruce Lancaster (21) needed the C/B to separate him from Robert Kennedy (25) with both scoring +1.

Monday September 10: Men PAR: 73 Players – A) Sam Coe (14) + 2 pipped Barry Jenner (7) on + 1. B) Andy Maloney (29) blitzed with + 6. Doug Howes (23) was next best with + 2.

Women: 15 Players – Jo Ludowyk (20) pipped Grace MacNeill-Wallis on C/B with – 3.

NTP: 8th – Steve Nelson (1.39m), 17th – Dan Hurley (0.92m). Golden Shot Winner on 17th– Jo Ludowyk (1.86m & $75)

Tuesday September 11: Women 9 Holes S’Ford: 43 Players – Estelle Steele shot 20 to outgun Joan Whitten on 19.

Golf Vic Play 9 Championship: 10 Players: Grace MacNeill-Wallis 18, Rex D’Arcy 17, Matt McFarlane 16 & Pat Malloch 15 C/B rounded off the Top 4.

Wednesday September 12: Men S’Ford & Round 1 of Eric Dohnt Trophy: 141 Players.

A) Capt. Bernie Den Besten (10) won easily with 44 from Geoff Mays (9) 38.

B) Brendan Waites (20) had the Round of the Day with 45 to sneak ahead of Jarman Reid (18) on 44.

C) Rick Dodds (24) won on C/B with 38 from Stan Madden (22).

NTP: 4th – Kevin Leithch (0.68m), 8th – Paul Smelter (3.24m), 13th – Dean Anderson (4.5m), 17th & Golden Shot Winner – Geoff Mays (0.46m & $111).

Thursday September 13: Women S’Ford: 64 Players. Jenny Travers (18) won A Grade with 39 from Bron Burton (20) 38. B Grade went to Janice Chapman (30) with 36 from Anne Davey (23) 35 C/B.

Saturday September 15: Men Stroke Blue Tees: 80 Players. The weather forecast must have deterred many from playing today! Drew Robertson (2) took the conditions on to score 73 and win A Grade on C/B from Matthew Tench (9). Eric Fisher (21) went one better in winning B Grade, also on C/B with 72. Tony Greer (16) was R/Up.
