Curlewis Golf Club – September 27, 2018

IT WAS a privilege for Curlewis to host the Golf Victoria Spring Womens tournament over the previous Thursday and Friday. We played host to over 370 ladies between us and Barwon Heads Golf Club as it was great to see ladies come from far and wide to play the event. We look forward to having them back next year!

The Curlewis Melbourne Cup Wine Skins event is going to be an event not to miss. Get your team of four booked in before it too late. The event is a Texan Stableford Multiplier with four bottles of top wine up for grabs on each hole. Ring our friendly staff at the Pro Shop on 5251 1111.

Monday September 17: Men Stableford: 71 Players – A) Ron Hoskin (15) 39 C/B from Phillip Larcombe (13). B) Bruce Mitchell (23) 40; Ross Shimmen (32) 38 C/B.

Women: 21 Players – Jan Brown (23) 41 won by 4 from Rhonda Blair (30) 37.

NTP: 8th – Judith Hocking, Golden Shot Winner on 17th – Britt Dean (0.55m & $72)

Tuesday September 18: Women 9 Holes PAR: 42 Players – Good scoring was evident with Kaye Kelly + 4 pipping Lynne Drew + 3.

Wednesday September 19: Men Stableford: 135 Players. A) Phillip Larcombe (14) continued the good form this week with 39. David Walder (12) was close behind with 38. B) Les Port (18) 38 won by 2 from Michael Hanley (16) 36. C) Lefty Andrew Pocock (25) had the best score, 40 with another lefty, Sam Jefferies (26) on 38.

NTP: 4th – Michael Hanley (1.1m), 8th – Andrew Pocock (1.84m), 13th – Denis Breuer (2.24m), 17th & Golden Shot Winner – Greg Scudamore (0.33m & $115).

Saturday September 22: Men Stableford: 171 Players. Steve Cadby (9) won A Grade by 3 with 40 from Zoran Stojanovski (5) 37. B Grade went to Shaun Gilbert (12) on 42 with Lewis Alexopoulos (14) next best with 40 C/B. Scott Wakeman (16) took C Grade with 38 from John Lillywhite (18) 37 C/B. Jarrod Noske (26) snapped up D Grade with 41 from Cliff Wenlock (26) 39.

Women; 15 Players. Anne Howard (15) won by 2 with 36 from Bernadette Thomas (12) 34.
