BELL Park will look to cause another upset as they host Colac at Hi Sushi Oval this weekend, after knocking off St Mary’s in Round 14 of the GFL.
The Dragons jumped into fifth place after their 73-point triumph against the injury-hit Saints and now face another challenge with the third-placed Tigers.
Colac are coming off a 117-point drubbing of Lara, and can make it six wins in a row and eight from their past nine matches. A win for the Tigers would also all but lock them in for the finals with just a month left in the season.
After losing convincingly to the Dragons, St Marys have dropped down to fourth position and now face 10th-placed Grovedale, who upset St Albans last weekend.
Leopold sit seventh on the ladder, with their three-peat chances fading fast. They host the winless Lara, and must win and rely on other results if they are any chance of a late finals pursuit.
St Albans will take on Geelong West after a disappointing performance against Grovedale. The Giants flexed their muscles against North Shore last weekend, winning by 162 points. Both sides will be searching for their sixth win of the year.
The now sixth-placed South Barwon host North Shore at McDonald Reserve, looking to get back into the top five. Meanwhile, round 14 kicks off a tricky three weeks for the Seagulls, facing the Swans, Dragons and Lions consecutively before finishing their season at home against Lara.
St Josephs and Newtown & Chilwell have a bye this weekend as they played in the Opening Round clash in April.
