Epworth extends major partnership with AFL Barwon
EPWORTH Geelong will continue to play a leading role in women’s footy for another year, extending its partnership with AFL Barwon into 2023.
The announcement made by the region’s leading football and netball body confirmed Epworth Geelong would remain a major partner and naming rights holder for all female football next season.
“It is wonderful to have Epworth continue to partner with AFL Barwon in 2023,” AFL Barwon commercial partnerships manager Sean Atkinson said.
“Epworth have been the naming rights partner for our female football section since the introduction of senior female football in 2018, so to have them continue is fantastic for our region.
“The brand connection between Epworth and Female sport in our region resonates well, and we are looking forward to continuing to grow and expand the partnership”.
Epworth has remained a partner and supporter of female football and the entire region since 2018, with both parties excited to see the partnership continue through 2023.
Epworth will retain naming rights for all divisions of senior female football, as well as Division 1 of all of AFL Barwon’s competitive under-age female competitions.
“The team at Epworth Geelong is pleased to continue our support for AFL Barwon and female football in the Greater Geelong region in 2023,” Epworth Geelong executive general manager Leonie Lloyd said.
“At Epworth, we are proud to be supporting women in sport.
“It’s great to see the rapid growth of women’s football in the Geelong region, where young children are now growing up with as much excitement for female football as any other sport.”
The Epworth branding will be on all Senior Female, Under 19 Female and Under 16 match footballs, as well as on playing jumpers for those competitions.
