THE finalised list for this season’s Geelong Falcons squad has been announced with 67 players being named to the club’s extended roster.

This season’s Falcons come from all over the region and will feature in the 2024 Coates Talent League campaign, which include the son of former champion Cat David Wojcinski, Alfie (Newtown & Chilwell) and Geelong & District Football Netball League rising stars Leigham Elzinga and James Hose (Bannockburn).

New Geelong Falcons Talent Lead Jesse Drever clarified “Development List” players will train with the program one night a week and one night a week with their local club.

“Development Players are still eligible to be selected for Coates Talent League games and called up for full training requirements (two nights a week) at any point throughout the season,” Drever said.

“Futures List players haven’t been selected on our Primary or Development List, however, will remain connected with our program and attend training sessions when notified by the program as we identify them as talented players for our region.

“They will still predominantly train and play with their local clubs, however, will have specific opportunities to be involved in the Falcons and other representative programs throughout the year.”

The Falcons first contest will take place on Sunday, March 24 at Deakin University against the Dandenong Stingrays from 1pm.
