From The Mat – April 5, 2018
ANGLESEA finished its Pennant competitions for the year with good performances but no flags. The season continues with a big bowling agenda at the Club during April.
Two charity tournaments are coming up: Freemasons Charity Day on Friday 6 April and Ron Leeman Lions Club Charity Day on Monday 9 April. The Aireys Mafia will be out in force on Saturday 14 April, and the last round of the Sovereign Financial Jackpot Mondays will be played Monday 16 April with several contenders chasing the current leaders: Jill Wilson, Keith Hogan and Alan Newton.
Congratulations to recent social match winners: Geoff Lydom, John Anderson, David Campbell, Sandy Keet, Jim Bailey, Corry Hooiveld, Heather Campbell, Ron Murray and Max Horne.
The new club rooms should be ready for our Annual General Meeting and Presentation Dinner on Friday 20 April. The Club has attracted many new members this year and all members encouraged to attend. Meanwhile there are still enjoyable evenings to be had at our temporary marquee, and the Friday Members Draw, now standing at $270, has yet to go off – members must be there to win it!
Businesses are reminded that an expanding Club with a new clubhouse offers a great opportunity to promote their services.
