From the Mat – December 6, 2018

Anglesea continues to perform well in Saturday and Midweek Pennant, with good wins by our top teams in both competitions and both sides holding a strong position on the ladder.

Congratulations to Keith Hogan, who played Alex McPherson to become the Men’s Singles Champion for 2018. Dot
Winchester and Barb Hinton will contest the Ladies Title.

Wednesday December 12 will be a big day at the club, with the Masters Pairs starting in the morning, followed by finals for the Great Ocean Properties Twilight Social League at 6pm.

Anglesea members are reminded that the Christmas break-up is on Sunday December 16, and Round 3 of the Sovereign Financial Triples takes place on Monday December 17.

Congratulations to recent social bowls winners: Ken Bunning, Trish Ryan, Ray Murphy, Des Clancy, Terry Hope and Dick
McDonald. George Schulze, Max Horne and Everett Greeves took out the Monday Jackpot of $312 which is now back to $120.

Home and away players can book a lunch from Pete and Ben on Saturday mornings, and those Village Bowl cooking dudes are cranking up for a full summer of Christmas functions and a regular service from the club’s kitchen.

Anglesea Community Network will have a break during December and January and its next monthly movie will be February 25.

BOWLS SCHEDULE
Anyone wanting to try bowls is most welcome to contact the Club.

Regular Bowls: Mondays (12.30pm) and Saturdays (1.00pm). Match is open for entries on the day until 11.00am by noticeboard entry, phone or email.

Casual Bowls: Open for members anytime; public bookings welcome.

Friday Social: Afternoon Practice. Happy Hour, Raffle, Members Draw and Meals from 5pm.
