CONGRATULATIONS to Jill Wilson and Graeme Mathias, who won the Club Mixed Pairs Championship in a tough battle with Heather Campbell and Ken Bunning. Club Championship singles are now under way. Entries for the Men’s and Ladies’ Pairs close soon.

Fourteen teams contested the first round of the Great Ocean Properties Twilight Social League and the GOP Flyers (Ian Lawless, Paula Fowler and Jess Nowson) took the honours.

Wednesday evenings will be see another seven rounds of action at the club.

Leon Wilson, Rob Miner and Alex McPherson will be defending their lead in the second round of the Sovereign Financial Jackpot Monday tournament, with several teams hot on their heels and six more rounds to play.

Melbourne Cup Day Bowls starts at 10.30 with sweeps, two games of bowls separated with BYO lunch before watching the Cup in the marquee. All welcome, and a big thank you to Sue and Les Rolls who are again sponsoring the day.

Well done to recent social bowls winners Merle Wapling, Dot Hermann, Ray Murphy, Yumi Raman, Barry Mason, Des Clancy, John Anderson, Con Keet, June Christie, Dick McDonald, Bob Dwyer and Rick Sheehan.

Open Day: Invitation Tournament on November 16 sponsored by Anglesea Pharmacy and Carpet House.

Regular Bowls: Mondays (12.30pm) and Saturdays (12.30pm). Match is open for entries on the day until 11am by phone or email.

Casual Bowls: Open for members any time; public bookings welcome.

Friday Social: Afternoon Roll-up and Pennant Practice. Happy Hour from 5pm. Raffle and Members Draw.
