GEELONG’S Premier Women’s Firsts have continued their winning ways against Box Hill, cruising to a 57-run victory thanks to impressive performances with bat and ball.

Saturday’s one-day hit out against the Mustangs marked the Cats’ fourth straight victory, keeping them atop the ladder.

Geelong won the toss and opted to bat first, seeing out the entire 50 overs to finish at 8/234.

Meika King top scored with an unbeaten 50 runs, whilst opener Mia Perrin added 49 in a knock that included eight fours.

The Cats then restricted Box Hill as they looked to chase down their total and bowled them all out for 177 in 40 overs to secure the win.

Aanliya Cheeran took three wickets to put her season total up 17, whilst Bronte Leishman added two of her own.

They will revert back to T20 format for their last three matches of 2025. This weekend, they will travel to face Melbourne, who are yet to lose a game in the short format competition.

An incredible 156-run knock from Noura Abdul Qader saw Geelong’s Seconds beat Dandenong in a high-scoring affair.

The Cats batted first and made a whopping 274 runs, before bowling the Panthers out for 236 after 43 overs. Abdul Qader added to her day out with the bat with one wicket in the win.

The Thirds also beat Dandenong, defending their total of 153 successfully thanks to four wickets from Alice Cann and three from Zarah Timpson.

Geelong’s Seconds and Thirds will now enjoy a Christmas break and will return in January.
