The official fixture for Geelong United’s NBL1 South campaigns have dropped with the region’s representative basketball side looking to make major cases for finals play in 2025.

Led by men’s and women’s coaches Grant Wallace and Jamie Petty, Geelong will get the opportunity to start off its campaign with a fast start, hosting three of its first four contests at The Geelong Arena in front of the United faithful.

Geelong United will also officially open the season, commencing its Round 1women’s match half an hour before the rest of the competition.

The condensed nature of the NBL1 fixture has continued into 2025 with United featuring in seven double-headers out of a 15 possible rounds across 22 games.

Round 1 also features a plethora of “rivalry” matchups with the fixture extending to United, who will battle with Mount Gambier in a battle of the competition’s two western-most clubs.

Geelong will play in Launceston on Anzac Day to meet the Tornadoes and NW Tasmania Thunder.

In addition to Anzac Day, other themed rounds include Heritage Round (Round 9), First Nations Round (Round 13) and Mental Health Round (Round 15).
