GROVEDALE and Geelong Ammos will face off again in the AFL Barwon senior female football Division 1 Grand Final this weekend. The top two sides will play for the premiership at Lara Recreation Reserve this Sunday, August 31 at 12.15pm, one year on from the same matchup in last year’s Grand Final that saw Grovedale win by eight points.
The Tigers beat the Ammos just a fortnight ago to book a spot in the last game of the year, leading all day and prevailing by 19 points.
The Ammos, who had the second chance, smashed Thomson by 41 points last weekend to set up the rematch.
The Division 2 Grand Final will be played afterwards at 2.30pm, between South Barwon and Geelong West.
After finishing the home and away season on equal points, both teams also played off in the Qualifying Final two weeks ago, where the Swans prevailed by 25 points.

The Giants held Newtown & Chilwell to just one point in last weekend’s preliminary final, winning by 58 points.
Meanwhile, St Joseph’s will take on Torquay tomorrow (Friday, August 29) at Anthony Costa Oval in the Under 18 Grand Final.
Joeys beat Bell Park in the Qualifying Final to book a berth in the Grand Final, while Torquay first won their Elimination Final over Ocean Grove and then smashed the Dragons in the Preliminary Final.
