LARA midfielder Darby Henderson has stamped his authority in his first year in the GFL, leading the league’s disposal statistics convincingly.

Despite missing the past month due to concussion, Henderson has averaged a whopping 44.5 disposals and 176.5 ranking points across his 11 matches in 2025.

The former Williamstown VFL player has been a shining light in a disappointing year for the winless Cats.

North Shore’s Connor Walmsley sits second for disposals, averaging 33.5 in his 13 games for the Seagulls. Walmsley, who is in his sixth season at Windsor Park, also leads the league in contested possessions, averaging 20.1 per game.

Grovedale veteran ruck Ryan Abott is averaging 141.5 ranking points per game, with Newtown & Chilwell’s Ned Harris not far behind on 136.1.

Meanwhile, South Barwon forward Fraser Fort has taken over as the league’s leading goalkicker thanks to six goals in their crushing Round 15 defeat of North Shore. He sits on 47 goals for the season, with Leopold’s Connor Giddings not far behind on 46. St Albans’ Tom Higgins and Patrick Dowling from St Mary’s sit third and fourth, both on 44 goals, while Geelong West youngster Lachie Horniblow rounds out the top five with 42.
