JAN Juc Boardriders is ready to unleash its absolute best at the Australian Boardriders Battle in Burleigh Heads next month.
The club will participate in its first-ever national boardriding event on March 8 and 9.
Jan Juc earned selection by finishing third at the Victorian state qualifying round in October last year.
President Mitch Mee said the club was fired up for its first crack at the big time.
“We are very excited to be going up, spending the weekend together and surfing against the best clubs in Australia,” he said.
“The guys have been training hard. They’ve been running the hill at Southside to try and emulate the run up the Burleigh Head point.
“Hopefully there’ll be no popped hammies or calf injuries on the day.”

Former Rip Curl Pro Trials winner Tim Stevenson is a certain starter at the national final after missing the state round due to a schedule clash.
“Timmy joining us at Burleigh is great and will definitely make us a bit stronger,” Mee said.
“We will also have Tim Birnie, Cooper Downes, Carly Shanahan and Dom Kellett.
“We feel we’ve got a pretty good level across the board. We are pumped.”
13th Beach Boardriders will also be competing at the national event next month.
