Junior tennis stars strut their stuff

THE 2016 Geelong Junior Grasscourt Junior tennis Championships were held at Geelong Lawn Tennis Club, from Friday January 22 up to and including Australia Day, Tuesday, January 26.

There were 191 players from all over the state and regional areas, even overseas, participating in the Gold Level Tournament, which featured juniors playing in under 12, 14 and 16 categories, in singles, doubles and consolation events.

The tournament got off to a bad start, with the Thankfully, no problems thereafter.

There was much-valued sponsorship from Geelong Connected Communities, through the Bendigo Bank, which supports community projects, sport, youth, arts and culture and much more.
