ONE of Queenscliff’s own has received a significant callup in her umpiring development, earning selection to Netball Australia’s Talent & Development Umpiring Squad for 2025.

Emily Green was named one of the 28 netball umpires across the country to be named to the Netball Australia umpiring squad for next year.

Green, who has risen up the AFL Barwon ranks over the years, will feature in this year’s Talent & Development squad.

“Members of this squad will be drawn on for Super Netball Reserves allocation and additional development opportunities, including targeted sessions and Suncorp Super Netball match day involvement with high performance umpire coaches,” Netball Australia stated in the team announcement.

“Umpires have been selected off the back of consistent performance and will continue their development over the course of the next 12 months.”

Green was also named one of four Victorian umpires selected to officiate at the National Netball Championships in Frankston in April this year.
