MORE than 10 surfers from the Surf Coast and Bellarine have headed to Phillip Island this weekend for Round 3 of the Victorian Open Series.
Athletes will be putting it all on the line today (Sunday, March 23) to try and lock in a spot in the Rip Curl Pro Trials next month.
State champions will also be crowned in both men’s and women’s divisions.
Among those competing is former state champion Tim Birnie, fellow Jan Juc trio Willis Droomer, Ethan Huxtable and Arabella Wilson and Torquay’s Angela Ball.
Surfing Victoria chief executive officer Adam Robertson wished all competitors luck at the event.
“We are looking forward to seeing an incredible finish at Phillip Island for the Victorian Open Series presented by Kieser.
“After unfortunately cancelling the previous round, everything will be on the line at the final round.”
The primary location for the event will be Cape Woolamai Beach.
