Our Division 3 Pennant side will be playing Geelong RSL in the Qualifying Final at Lara this Saturday April 10. Well done to everyone involved and all members are welcome to come along and support the players.

Two of Anglesea’s major tournaments were played in February. The Alcoa Fours was won by the team comprising Garry Templar, Peter Gordon, George Tartaglia and Jeff Holmes. Bryce Hutton represented Alcoa Australia, and the Club expressed its gratitude for the long and sustained support it has received from Alcoa for several decades. Stewart Pyers and David Ross took out the Master’s Pairs this season, and they acknowledged the contribution of Tuckers Funeral Services and Graeme and Norma Boardman, the tournament sponsors.

The last round of the Sovereign Financial Jackpot Mondays will be played on April 16 with three teams in close contention and several others still in with a chance. Jill Wilson, Keith Hogan and Alan Newton combined to win Round 6 and put their team into a narrow overall lead.

We have had several most enjoyable evenings at our temporary clubrooms recently thanks to our social committees. This Friday at 6pm the Members Draw is a record $210, but members must be there to win it!

BOWLS SCHEDULE

Anyone wanting to try bowls is most welcome to contact the Club.

Regular Bowls: Mondays (12.30pm) and Saturdays (12.30pm). Match is open for entries on the day until 11am by notice-board entry, phone or email.

Casual Bowls: Open for members anytime; public bookings welcome.

Friday Social: Afternoon Roll-up and Pennant Practice. Happy Hour from 5pm. Raffle and Members Draw.
