Mother’s Day at Torquay Football Club

THE Torquay Football Club (TFC) hosted a Mother’s Day function on Sunday May 12, with three of the club’s female teams taking the field on the day.

Torquay’s U15 and U18 women’s teams both scored a win, however the senior women lost to the Geelong West Giants at McCartney Oval.

Following the match, the club hosted both teams in the club rooms over an afternoon tea featuring cupcakes in both teams’ colours.

“The day was very well attended with a steady crowd throughout the day,” TFC president Jenny Wood said.
