National Titles schedule locked in
SURFING Australia has unveiled its 2025 National Titles schedule, headlined by the return of the Australian Indigenous Surfing Titles at Bells Beach.
The national event will take place between May 30 and June 1 at Djarrak/Bells Beach and bring together hundreds of Indigenous surfers from across the country.
The overall 2025 National Titles schedule kicks off with the Australian Para Surfing Titles in Byron Bay from March 23-25.
The country’s best longboarders will then head to the Tweed Coast for the Australian Longboard Titles from July 22-27.
The Australian Bodyboard Titles will be held at URBNSURF in Sydney on August 21-22,
followed by the Australian Shortboard Titles at Wollongong from August 26-31.
The year will round out with the Australian SUP Titles on Phillip Island from October 21-25.
A date and location for the Australian Junior Surfing Titles will be confirmed in the coming weeks.
Surfing Australia chief of sport Luke Madden said they were stoked to see all surfing disciplines hosting their National Titles at stand-alone locations.
“These waves perfectly suit their unique styles of surfing, all while showcasing some of the best surf spots across the country.
“After an incredible event in 2024, the Australian SUP Titles return to Phillip Island, Victoria, as part of a two-year partnership with Bass Coast Shire.
“It’s also exciting to see URBNSURF Sydney hosting the Australian Bodyboard Titles for the first time, marking a new chapter for Surfing Australia.
“We’re especially excited to work with para surfers, led by Mark ‘Mono’ Stewart, to host the Australian Para Surfing Titles in Byron Bay alongside an Association of Adaptive Surfing Professionals (AASP) World Tour event.”
